How It All Started
Hi! I'm Koby — an IT professional by day and a 3D printing enthusiast by night, based in the Atlanta, GA area. Filament Foundry is where those two worlds collide: a love of technology meeting a lifelong passion for creating things you can actually hold in your hands.
I've been in the 3D printing hobby for about five years now. It started casually — printing the odd knick-knack, a functional part here and there, maybe a cosplay prop when the mood struck — but the more I learned, the more I wanted to push what was possible. The hobby has a way of doing that to you.
What keeps me coming back is the combination of creative and technical challenge. Every print is a small engineering problem: the right material, the right settings, the right supports. Get it all dialled in and something genuinely beautiful comes off the build plate. I have a lifelong love of Sci-Fi — Star Wars especially — so it was never a stretch to start filling the shelves with models from the universes I grew up loving.
